Warmth in the Darkness

Poetry

The smell of his skin

Sultry blend of salt and sweet

In the cold dark night

Strong arms around me

Holding me, keeping me warm

Pressed to him so tight

His lips are dry, rough

But his kiss is silk and hot

With candle light soft

Many times we’ve loved

My body still aches for him

Never getting enough

With joy, pain, and lust

I have loved my friend so much

Love made strong through years

Cling to his body

Let him claim mine as his own

Darkness without fears
